About the playlist finder

How does the Memory Playlist Finder choose songs?

The finder compares a birth year and country with premade song collections, using ages 13 to 25 as a starting point. Each result offers ten songs and a link to the broader Spotify playlist they came from. Collections can mix genres, and partial year or genre matches are explained. This does not predict personal taste or test memory.

Which countries and years does the playlist finder cover?

The starting catalog covers the USA, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, and Poland, with selected songs from 1960 to 1974. Coverage varies by country; this is not a complete catalog of every decade or genre. Full Spotify playlists contain more songs and may include other years. Their curators can change the contents, and availability varies by country.

Does the playlist finder host music or save my personal information?

The finder does not host, download, or distribute music; listening happens through external services such as Spotify. Birth year, country, genre, and relationship selections are not saved. Saving or sharing a collection uses only its collection ID, without those personal inputs.
